This half day seminar and workshop will teach you “how to run or defend an adjudication application”.

Across the course of a 3 hour intensive workshop, involving direction from our lawyers, and group interaction and discussion, you will learn how new developments in the law relating to the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004 (Qld) (BCIPA) affect your payment claims, payment schedules, adjudication applications and adjudication responses

Those four key components of BCIPA will be fully explored, with an emphasis on practical tips and strategies to minimise risk.

You will also have an opportunity to learn the latest contract amendments necessary to deal with BCIPA cases on:

– payment preconditions;
– termination;
– termination for convenience;
– deeds of release;
– EOT’s;
– delay claims; and
– conversion of security.

This is an opportunity to gain expert knowledge from leading lawyers who specialise in construction disputes in an open and interactive workshop environment.
