Mitchell is a Senior Associate in our Contracts and Major Projects team.

Mitchell has advised clients in relation to a diverse range of construction and infrastructure matters, including large scale international arbitration and adjudication as well as advising on and preparing construction contracts and ancillary documents.

Mitchell has recently acted for a major Japanese contractor in relation to the $50 billion Ichthys LNG Project in Darwin.

Mitchell’s experience includes:

• international commercial arbitration under the ICC Rules with over $1 billion in dispute;
• acting for a respondent in adjudication proceedings under the Construction Contracts (Security of Payments) Act in the Northern Territory and successfully defending approximately $45 million in claims;
• preparing national contract suites for large Australian contractors;
• adjudication under various Security of Payment legislation throughout Australia;
• preparing contract documentation, both Australian Standard and bespoke, for specific construction and infrastructure projects.
