Tom is a Special Counsel in our Litigation & Dispute Resolution team, and a founding member of CDI Lawyers.
Tom has experience with a number of forms of commercial dispute resolution, including large scale adjudication, arbitration and court litigation.
Tom has been involved in adjudication disputes in Queensland, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory.
Recently, Tom has acted for a major Japanese contractor in relation to the $50 billion Ichthys LNG Project in Darwin.
Tom’s experience includes the following projects:
- International commercial arbitration under the ICC Rules seated in Singapore involving a large dispute (circa AU$1.2 billion);
- Adjudication proceedings in the Northern Territory acting for a respondent and successfully defending circa $AU45 million in claims;
- Advising Kawasaki Heavy Industries in relation to the EPC phase of the world-first Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain project in Victoria;
- Supreme Court and Court of Appeal proceedings in NSW involving a dispute about security (circa $AU50 million) provided under a construction contract.
